Last night I received a report about a fox following a man and his 2 dogs near the intersection of Vestals and Claiborne. Here is the email that I received. Please just be aware

I was walking my two dogs on a path that we frequently take along Claiborne. About 10:30pm, we arrived at above intersection, just before passing on the path by where the track can be observed. A small fox, about 45 lbs, appeared on path and stopped blocking our way. We crossed over Claibore and I had planned on going around him through the tunnel, but he proceeded to follow us. He stopped halfway on Claiborne in the grass area. I made loud noised and started to go directly toward him and he just crouched down. I realized he was not scared and doubled back toward the shopping center. He stared to follow us for awhile and then dissappeared.

I just wanted to have someone warn those who are walking to school in the morning. I was not close enough to see if he had a foaming mouth. But he should have been scared of me and my two dogs.

Thank you to the resident who alerted me. Please just make sure you and your children are aware of your surroundings.

Coyotes are not common to this area. One night when I was driving home, I swear I saw two wolves off Claiborne and Stonehollow dr.

    Isn't a Coyote a woman over 60?

I saw two foxes while walking with my dog early am on Sun; one by the Community Center pool and one in the wooded area on Demott behind the Frame Square townhouses. I wouldn't call either one aggressive but the one near the pool was definitely curious. He came down to the side walk after we passed and watched us for awhile before running off.
