Aldi Grocery Store Recently Opened

    Fellow Foodies--

    For those of you have mentioned Aldi stores in previous threads, just wanted to tell you that a NEW store recently opened in Manassas, VA area. Address is 9714 Liberia Avenue, Manassas, VA.

    A girlfriend of mine, who lives in the Catlett/Gainesville area from our Mennonite church, told that me today on the phone that Aldi had recently opened in Manassas in December 2009. She visited their store and remarked about how clean and bright it was. Of course, Aldi is not everyday grocery store. It is a German-based store with stores all over Europe and USA. I told her that we had store in GA. Aldi does have good prices if you live near one of their stores.

    I think Aldi would be a good fit for the soon-to-be-closed Shopper's Food Warehouse. Although, the site might be big for an Aldi compared to the two I have visited.
