    I was wondering that too. I passed several fire trucks and ambulances flying up Waxpool on my way to work and then saw 2 fairfax county firetrucks on 28 headed towards waxpool as well.

    it was a reported house fire the home owner smelled smoke in the house. The cause was the heat was turned on for the first time this year, and the reason why you saw all those fire trucks is because on a house fire you get 4 engines 2 ladder trucks and 1 medic and a chief and the engines you saw on 28 were from sterling not fairfax

    I don't think that could be the same fire, Lee... I heard sirens here around 7:30am also.
