Has anyone tried this kind of grass in their yard? My husband wants to buy this and we were wondering about anyone's experience... good, bad? We've heard it goes brown at the first hint of cool weather but looks great all summer. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have had it at two previous houses. The good is that it takes less water and less fertilizer. Plus, it gets thick, really thick. It does look great in the summer and will choke out any kind of weed or other grass. Moreover, it will just keep spreading. The bad is that it will turn brown for the winter. When it has grown in, it will get so thick that it will be difficult to push a lawn mower through it. It may take a couple of years to grow in and when it does, it will keep growing beyond your yard.

Would I do it again, no!

Someone in my brother's community planted it and it eventually took over every lawn in the neighborhood!

Thanks for the info - we had no idea it was such alien, killer grass!
