    What was with the animal control knocking on doors on Autumnwood Sq. today? Anyone know?

    I live on Autumnwood Sq. This was left on our doors:

    Animal Control Needs Your Help
    Loudoun County Animal Control is seeking assistance from the public to locate the person(s) responsible for shooting a domestic cat in the Broadlands area.
    A twelve year old, gray, domestic short hair cat was found injured by her owner in the evening of July 23, 2008. It was determined that the cat had been shot by a pellet gun. The incident took place in the area of Autumnwood Square.
    Anyone with information should call Loudoun County Animal Care and Control at (703)777-0406.

    I've never seen anyone in or around our street with a pellet gun. Pretty sad someone would do this.

    Ah, thanks......that was my cat that was shot. I guess that's why they skipped our house. Although they got the age wrong, she's 13.

    Sorry, I didn't mean for it to sound like she died. She's fine, luckily. A couple of weeks of antibiotics and cleaning the wound.

    I'm glad they are looking into it. I thought they had brushed me off.
