Anyone Here in the Loudoun Mom's Group?

I heard about this LMG online for mom's in the area with babies born in 2005. You have to have a mom recommend you to become a member. I was wondering if there are any Broadland's members out there?

 

I haven't heard of the Loudoun Mom's Group but I belong to the Broadlands Mom's Club if that's helpful.

 

Is this a playgroup? And/or is there a playgroup for toddlers here in Broadlands?

 

I joined Loudoun County Mommies. There are a lot of playgroup opportunities along with Mom's Night Out. I've only met a few people who seem really nice. I don't get together with them as often as I would like, but it's not because there aren't opportunities! There are at least 2 playgroups a week.

Besides other activities during the week the Broadlands Moms Club has playgroups for babies born in 2003, 2004, 2005. Call Cindy Mayer at 703-723-3246 and she can provide you with more information.

 

Yes- I'm a part of the Loudoun Mom's group. It was started by a bunch of us that delivered babies at Loudoun Hospital and we all went to the new moms meeting on Wednesday mornings at the hospital. One of the moms took down everyone's email address and started a yahoo group.

There are not a lot of activities. It is more of a site where you can send an email with questions and concerns and then people will respond back to you. Usually there is some sort of outing, once a month. We have yet to make it to one because it doesn't work with my daughter's nap schedule.

There aren't any official playgroups or anything. Sometimes people will post a playgroup on the group site and you can RSVP. There's a happy hour here and there.

I'm not sure if the group is taking new members. It has gotten so huge, that the group voted a few months back to only take new members who are friends of current members.

Broadlands Mom is Forming a Weekly Playgroup​

I am a stay-home-mom living in Broadlands. 5 years ago, I had the experience of belonging to a language playgroup when my son was a toddler in Atlanta. However, with my daughter on the way, I cannot find such a program for her. I believe we need it in our community. Please join me in forming a playgroup. I am in collaboration with language experts, linguists and early child development experts in developing a program that can benefit every mom and child. The class will run for 3 months in the spring as a trial. It will be no charge to you. However, I do ask for a $12 a class donation that will pay for the expenses (i.e. teachers, supplies, croissants...).
Where: Broadlands Community Center
Times: 30 min-45 min. classes Mondays between 10 am. March-May
