    Okay we've got cabin fever. The snow has stopped -- is it safe to go out? Is anybody open?

    Well we didn't venture out past Southern Walk Plaza. McD's, Domino's, and the chinese carry out place were open, all the other restaurants were closed. Harris Teeter is open. Claiborne and Ridgeway are covered with a layer of packed snow but plowed curb to curb, two lanes in each direction. The parking lot was in pretty good shape too. Wind really wasn't a factor, at least not during the time we were out.
