A co-worker and I were talking today about how our dogs respond to the Windows shutdown sound. Basically, if our dogs are lying down, they get up and stretch, and get ready for something different to happen - like maybe we'll go outside, go to another room, go get someting to eat, go to bed, etc. There must be tons of dogs around the world that respond in a similar way, ya think?

Yep, as soon as they hear the sound they jump up and run to the back door to go outside for the night!

Our dog somehow recognizes the closing credits of movies and heads to the back door when a movie is over. Most times she moves before we do.

My guinea pig starts to squeak when I turn off the TV because he knows he's going to get a bedtime treat. He also makes a lot of noise when I'm chopping vegetables because I usually give him a little something.

Here too. Funny thing is that she's going deaf. Won't come when called anymore, we have to snap in her face to get her attention. But she's still tuned in to the computer and the tv being turned off!
