Need Help! Ashburn Family in Need of Household Items

If you're still looking for a few items, such as artwork, I would happy to contribute. I just came across your post today, and have several gently used items to contribute. You are a good soul to help this family, as are the others on this thread.

 

The mom whom we have helped asked that I forward on her words of thanks to all that have assisted her over the past few weeks (and I personally want to thank each and every one of you who helped her family transition through this very difficult time, as well)...

Tammy's words of thanks...

"I wanted to send an extended thank you to all the many people who assisted me getting set up in our apartment last weekend.

No words could ever express the emotions I felt when six SUV’s/trucks arrived at my doorstep. People whom I’d never met in my entire life to help my family as we have fallen short due to health problems of myself and my daughter. If only the whole entire world could be so considerate, caring, supportive, and giving maybe we wouldn’t have all the troubles many face on a daily basis. I know that one day I too will be able to assist others in need.

As an independent person my whole life it has been very difficult and embarrassing to ask others for assistance. This is something I never dreamed I would be doing in my lifetime. I’ve always seen myself as the one helping other people. It’s great to know that I can tell this story to my daughter and teach her how to give and be kind to all.

With all the stress of mine and my daughter’s health problems and my husband preparing for overseas this act of kindness was the best thing that has happened to my family in months! There are days when I’m not sure how I will keep my head high and get thru it all but as I look around and see what others have done my spirits are lifted.

I know God will see us through these hard times and I will continue to have faith and trust as He leads our family on the path chosen for us.

I cannot thank everyone enough for providing my family with the assistance we’ve needed to keep going daily. God will bless each and every one of you as I have been blessed!"

Update on family...their little girl was admitted last night back into the hospital with pneumonia, so thoughts and prayers for her family would be appreciated.

They are so thrilled with all of the donations...the toys, DVD player, movies, and stuffed animals were so greatly appreciated by the mom. I'm sure she's using them to keep her little one occupied!
