Our roof shingles were never installed properly which null and voids the shingle warranty and we are now having issues with the shingles coming up. Can anyone recommend a good attorney to use to help us with our discourse with VM?

VM was willing to nail down the shingles, but we think the problem is much more extensive (not to mention new shingles in part of our roof would makie the roof look splotchy) plus the disclosure we would have had to sign stated we would give up rights to everything and anything having to do with our house and never speak of it again.

    Thank you.

I would recommend going through arbitration with them. This is a good site on home construction arbitration: http://www.adr.org/sp.asp?id=32399 and the local office is in DC: For more information, please call Jean Baker at 202.739.8280 or email BakerJ@adr.org.
I am not affiliated with these people but we went through arbitration in 2000 with a builder here in Broadlands.

Excellent! Thank you for this info. We just want it fixed, and since they didn't finish a part of our roof which we found when it leaked, we want a mold inspection done before signing off on anything.
