Here is a list of August Programs at the Nature Center.

Creepy Crawlies: August 7th 3-4 PM
    Ages 4-7
Let’s find some creepy crawlies in our neighborhood. In this program we will explore the outdoors for snakes, lizards and insects. We will catch some bugs and learn about their lifestyles. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Wild Weather: August 19th 10-11 AM
    Ages 6-10
In this program we will learn about weather phenomenon in our world. We will create our own lightning, thunder, clouds and tornados. We will also make our own barometer, anemometer or rain gauge to take home.

Flying Flowers: August 16th 3-4 PM
    Ages 3-5
Butterflies look as delicate and pretty as flowers, but they’re also tough survivors. We’ll search for these beautiful insects in the meadows and gardens around Broadlands, learn some interesting facts, and make a craft to take home. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

All programs cost $5.00. Please register ahead of time by calling or stopping by the Nature Center or emailing naturalist@broadlandshoa.com
