    The type that extend and retract over a deck - are they allowed? Also noticed several nice white decks in Southern Walk TH's - are they allowed? Apologize if this question came up before.

    Thanks for the info - too bad the retractable awnings aren't allowed or most likely will not get approved. The awnings I am interested placing over the deck can be opened and closed automatically.

    Actually, my bad. The guidelines I posted are a bit out-of-date. We have approved certain types of retractable awnings (roll-back).
