    Has anyone added a basement areaway. who did the job , how much did it cost?

    What is an "areaway"? Is this like an Egress window?

    I believe that is the term used by builders for the exterior steps for a walkup basement .

    Make sure if you do something like this it won't void your 10 year structural warranty.
