Any fellow Miller&Smith Cobblestone Collection TH owners? (I'm in Southern Walk, Section 56).

If so, I have a question- in the basement, there's a set of three light switches in the hall leading to the rec room. I have yet to find a use for the middle switch. I believe it's on a joint circuit with a switch along the back wall (on same plate as the switch for the light outside in the back).

Here's the long story- when I bought the TH, there was no light fixture in the rec room, so I bought a fixture and wired it up. Turned the circuit breaker on, and the light came on. I flipped switches here, there, and everywhere, and the light wouldn't turn off. Realized I must have wired the light to a dedicated "hot" wire (always on- not switch dependent), so I rewired it to the other hot, which is controlled by the far right switch of the three in the hallway.

I checked all the outlets in the room- not a one appeared to be governed by the middle switch in this plate. I asked the Miller & Smith guys, but they thought it was for a fan. However, like I said, when I wired using that extra wire in the ceiling, it was a constant on (not a switch dependent wire).

Any help on what this switch controls? I realize I'm asking a very small contingent of Broadlands owners, but any help is appreciated (I may look for the electricians to be working close by and just ask them).

    Thanks,
    DcD

If no one else can help you, I believe they're still building these, so you may want to take a walk down there and talk to one of the electricians, or , look around on a Sunday and check the wireing on one that has not yet been drywalled.
