Sweetest Chef Cafe! New Owners, Same Drinks, New Food! Met Sam, one of the new owners, and if you loved Bean Scene before, you still will- and if you liked it and wished it had more food- it does now!

Anyone tried anything new there since the change...?

Do you know what happened to the Bean Scene owners? I met them when the cafe first opened and they were struggling then. Seemed like very nice people, just hope they didn't lose their shirts on the place.

For some reason, that seems like an easy little strip mall to pass by. You just don't want to get stuck at the light coming out and whether you're coming or going, it seems like a place you don't want to stop at to ruin your momentum in traffic (if there is such a thing there). Anyone know how the other businesses are doing there?

Huy- the original owner, is franchising Bean Scene on the West Coast, acc. to a little bird, and doing just fine. the new owner, Sam, is really nice, and seems ready to do great things!

Not sure about the rest of the plaza- Village Grill seems to be doing well- especially with such a great bar! but these folks HAVE to market themselves directly to their customers and separatelthemselves from the pack to succeed- almost every business in there has some type of direct competition from an established Ashburn biz.

Basically Bean Scene took on a new partner to offer more stuff. The new chef makes soups, salads, and more variety of sandwiches. One of the new partners told me this herself. Should be a good thing. They seem to have a pretty loyal following, especially during training camp season - I have seen players in there.
