Does anyone have any experience with BeanTree Learning over by Home Depot? Or, I guess with any of the BeanTree locations? We're considering sending our kids there and would love some feedback from others.

    Thanks!

Our son is at Beantree. What questions do you have?

From what we have heard, BeanTree is "the bomb" of daycare. And as such, very pricey.

How old are your kids? Will they be going there for pre-school classes or after-school care? We have toured the facility and have friends whose kids go there.

We have our sons at BeanTree afterschool. We are thrilled with the entire program -- the teachers are well-educated, caring, fun, and truly interested in our children. The facility itself is awesome -- well planned, safe, challenging. The only down-side is that it is a bit pricey. However, having had a HORRIBLE experience with another facility when we first moved here we have found that you truly do get what you pay for! If you can budget for it, I really believe that BeanTree is worth the $$$.

We were looking for an afterschool program which would actively work with our son, who has ADD. While we loved the building, the teachers and the environment they have created at Beantree, in the end it seemed that the afterschool program was not much more than a really big, comfortable room where kids surf the internetand play for a few hours every afternoon.

We were looking for something more creative and proactive for our son...especially for the $$$$$ you drop there! Our son can surf the web, play with friends and be challenged at home in the afternoon just as well.

Good luck finding a place that meets your needs. If anyone knows of a local resource who works with kids with ADD, please let us know. Many thanks.

I'm really just looking for people's opinions. What do you love about it? What do you wish was different? Stuff like that...

    Thanks!

My kids are 2, 5 & 10. Right now I'm looking at the MW & F routine. One will be there the whole day, one before/after K and the other after school only. The following year I'll do full-time. I'm going to tour the facility tomorrow!

    Thanks!

The budget will only allow us to do 3 days a week for the first year. But, the more I think about it, the more I like that idea. My kids have never been in daycare. I'm a full-time mom but in the fall I plan on starting back in the work force. So, 3 days a week is sounding like a good plan. Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate it!

Thank you for your feedback as well. I'm so sorry BeanTree doesn't meet your son's needs. I hope you are able to find him something soon. If I hear anything, I'll be sure to post it!

Hi, I don't know if anyone is following this thread anymore, but I'm considering applying to work at BeanTree, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the management there (here in Ashburn). I am working on getting my Early Childhood Development degree, but a look at the center's website showed that they have positions that do not require a college degree. I'm mostly concerned with how staff are treated (as far as anyone knows)-- there aren't very many bad reviews that I've seen, but a lot of the bad ones talk about employees being treated badly in front of parents, which is making me nervous. I'd like to know what anyone thinks before committing to an interview.

    Thanks!

Why would you decline an interview before you're asked. :( An interview gives you the 'opportunity' to ask questions too to see it there's a fit.

We have been to several day care and aftercare facilities over the course of 7 years. We had to leave Beantree because they did not pick up at my daughters school for kindergarten. We went to 2 other places after that and are now back at Beantree. In my opinion, Beantree has taken a more professional approach than other places. The parents expect a higher level of care, attention, and response as they are paying a premium to be there. I would assume that management expects this of the employees. We have had nothing but positive experiences in general. I know the director changed in the last 2 years, so any reviews prior to that may not be accurate. The new director has gone out of her way for us to be accommodating.
