Beginner chess camp

    An introductory class is being offered to teach your child how to play chess in a small class setting. This course willl allow your child to experience the game with a skilled instructor. Your child will learn the chess basics and end the course on a basic level of play. Along with learning the game of chess your child will be taught critical thinking skills that can be used in all curriculum areas.

    Beginner Chess Three Day Course
    Grade Level: 1st-6th
    August 6, 7 and 8th (Wed-Fri)
    2-4pm
    All classes held at the Broadlands Community Center
    43004 Waxpool Road, Broadlands, VA

    $80.00-Broadlands residents, $90.00 for non-Broadlands residents
    Chess federation boards will be utilized for all sessions.
