Furry - Homer has always been and will always be Homer. He has been an active member of these forums for quite some time with the exception of a several month hiatus.

    HCA Appeals Denial of Hospital
    Dusty Smith

Aug 31, 2005 -- Hospital Corporation of American filed a lawsuit in the Loudoun County Circuit Court late yesterday challenging the board of supervisors’ denial of land use approvals required for its planned 164-bed Broadland Regional Medical Center along Belmont Ridge Road. The planning commission had recommended denied HCA’s application, so HCA butressed its proposal by adding $8 million in road improvement to Belmont Ridge Road, which later jumped to as high as $16 million as HCA agreed to pay for sections of the road not covered by other proffers.

The county planning staff recommended approval of the application after that money was added.

The board of supervisors vote 6-3 Aug. 1 to deny to the applications, with the majority stating that the location is not appropriate and the use does not fit with the Broadlands community.

The appeal calls for a determination about whether that decision was justified.

“BRMC will bring needed healthcare services to the county, strengthen its tax base and bring jobs to the community,” HCA CEO Bryan K. Dearing said in a press release. “While it is unfortunate that this needs to play out in court, we believe we will prevail in the end.”

    Thanks for the kind words.

Neil, if you actually think he is saying that as a peace offering then I have swampland in Florida to sell you. That is his answer to everything. The fact is someone who was banned because they broke forum rules and because they refues to apologize for it (it was directed at me by the way), they were banned. And now they are in charge of banning people. Just look at the tone he is taking with AFGM and Barb. It's very disturbing to have an individual who power trips running these forums.

I had thought about going to the tech committee but from how i was treated by them, no thanks. They just circled the wagons and took the party line regardless of the facts. There is no way I would be welcomed or even accepted at these meetings. As a homeowner I am disenfranchised.

You do have a higher venue to bring your issues to. The Tech Committee is overseen by the HOA Board.

Should I change my answer just because you say the same thing 10x? Complain the same, get the same answer. If you really felt strongly about this, we've given you several avenues to address it. Instead you refuse and insist on just venting here. The choice is yours.

No I'm not, the tech committe runs the forums, with the oversight of the board; not a single person.

I'm sure we could pull the old messages and let everyone make their own judgement, but it really doesn't matter. You seem to be the only one who can't get over it all.

You, like all members of the community have been invited to attend, and been you have been told specifically to come if you have concerns. YOU have chosen to stay.. YOU have disenfranchised yourself. You'd prefer to vent away here rather then addressing what you seem to feel is an issue. You have put yourself in this position, no one else. If you bothered to come, I'm sure you'd find all the particpants much more friendly then you seem to believe.

I'll remember that next time you hijack a thread with your hospital or politics. [xx(]
