Sheesh - that's rather alarming.

 

I bet this is the pathway that runs behind St. Theresa's all the way up to Clairborne near the WO&D. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. Nothing has been implied yet, but I wonder if this will have any gang implications....

 

This just came in from the LCSO:

The Loudoun Sheriff's Office is investigating the circumstances of the death of a young adult male. The victim was found deceased in a common area along Windmill Drive in the area of Ridgeview Place in Ashburn Farm.

Around 9:15 AM Thursday the Sheriff's Office received a call from a resident who reported seeing a person laying near some trees in the area of Windmill Drive. Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene and found a deceased White male. Although there were no obvious signs of trauma, the circumstances surrounding the death of the victim is suspicious in nature.

The victim was taken to the Office of the Virginia Medical Examiner in Fairfax County. Medical Examiners are working to determine the cause and manner of death.

Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in this area is asked to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office at 703-777-0475. If the caller wishes to remain anonymous, they are asked to call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919.

 

Aw crap - there are bunch of Scouts who live near there. "Young Adult" by appearances can be as young as 15 with some of those kids.

 

That is only a couple miles from MURDER DRIVE.

The Loudoun Sheriff's Office has confirmed the identity of the victim in a suspicious death investigation as an Ashburn teenager.

The body of Rodgrigo Nicolas Vitullo, 19, was found Thursday in a common area along Windmill Drive in the area of Ridgeview Place in Ashburn Farm.

His parents live in the Broadlands, Overland Park section.

This is pretty shocking, and verry worrisome particularly to those of us with kids. Does anyone know anything more about what happened? Did anyone know the boy? What a tragedy - his parents are probably devastated.
