We've had the Broadlands events sign near the corner of Broadlands Blvd/Claiborne Parkway relocated. It is now on the corner instead of 100 yds down Claiborne.
The new location should provide better visibilty of the sign for people coming in all directions.

Van Metre's putting in a new entrance feature that will include a water feature.

How big will the feature be? I need to know how much dish soap to buy to make really good bubbles!

Personally I'd rather have a sidewalk so that I didnt have to risk my life walking through the SW Plaza parking lot than a water feature. But hey thats just me.

They also said they are studying putting a sidewalk along Wyndridge also. We'll see.

If the water feature is going to be anything like Brambleton or Lansdowne, it will be a nice addition to Broadlands

Speaking of water features .. during the seller's market period of the real estate market ( I guess early 2000 ) .. we noticed a sub division near Vienna metro and we went into the sales office....

Most of the lots were backing to I66 ....and we inquired what their plan was to reduce the road noise ...

The lady said "It is like Great Falls .. once you get there and stay at Great Falls ..you do not notice the water noise ... " :pofl: I guess the sales staff for builders have to work a little extra hard these days ... HAAHAAA

I have to say I do not like the new location of the sign. Before I could actually read it now it is so far down the road that I can't even come close to being able to tell what it says. I understand the reason for having moved it but is anyone else finding it harder to read. May be I just need to get use to looking for it earlier then I use to

Well, when traffic gets heavy, the sound resembles a water fall. Use your imagination:rolleyes:

As for the Broadlands sign? I can't even find it:huh:

I can now read the sign from eastbound and westbound Broadlands Blvd. In the old location, it could not be read from Broadlands Blvd at all.
From Claiborne, I can now read the sign when turning onto Broadlands Blvd. In the old location, it couldn't be seen. For most southbound Claiborne folks, it's just a little further to the right, but it can be seen easily when waiting at the light.
I had wanted it located further to the left, but couldn't get Board consensus.

Except there are no homes close to the falls. It is a national park!
