Had a beautiful buck feeding at my bird feeders today. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see him, but my neighbor got some great pictures. He's a beauty!!

I think we saw the same buck peeking his head through the trees on Windmill Road, near Claiborne Parkway yesterday afternoon. He's beautiful. We normally see the ladies...

Why in the world would you call them rodents? He's a beautiful creature.

I think anyone who has had those beautiful creatures eat their way through their garden would agree with the giant rodent comment.....

They eat all your plants, cause numerous crashes, spread lyme disease.
    They're giant rodents......
(but they are nice to look at).

Thanks, but I can't take credit for the pictures. My neighbor is a wonderful photographer and he was able to capture these.

I would rather have animals in my yard than plants. I grow tomatos and share them with the birds and turtles.

And this time of year you can't drive with the windows down because of the stench of all the rotting carcusses along the road. 3 of them on the short stretch of RTE 28 that I drive.

That's funny, I wonder if the deer feels the same way for us. We come and take down their habitats, hit them on their own paths that they have been living before us, get mad that we eat at our own home. Depends how you look at it. Aren't we all responsible of this disturbed balance of co-existing.

Never really concerned myself with a deer's feelings.......except maybe how a nice piece of venison steak feels going down my throat!
