How are burned out streetlights addressed? I was running along the path on Claiborne and Truro Parish and there were a number of them dark, making it kinda unsafe. I would be happy to mark the burned out ones, if I knew that it would help.

I'll bring it up at tonight's HOA meeting. Do you have time to give me a general idea of where the burnt out ones are physically located?

    Thanks!

The ones I noticed the most were right before the trail goes into the woods along Truro Parish heading towards Glebe View. Don't remember them all, but as I said, I can mark them some way, since you obvious can't tell which ones they are during the day.

    Just let me know.

Thanks; I'll bring it up tonight and see what can be done about it.

I'm guessing we also do not have any updates about the street lights in SW? Can you ask also?

I can e-mail Van Metre again, but I feel we are getting the run around.

Funny you bring that up; Brian Beahm (Resident Member), who asks this question religiously each month, is out of town today, so he made sure one of the Resident Members brings it up on his behalf.

In the future, residents are always encouraged to contact the HOA Office about burnt out lights or any other HOA maintenance issue.

The resident members of the HOA ask Van Metre about the SW lights every month. I would prefer to see the room full every meeting with residents asking the question. Maybe then they would give it some priority.
We've had light poles in SW, Overland Park, and other areas for going on 3 years that are still not on. Somehow, the response "we can't get the electric company to put up a meter" gets a bit lame.

good to know. I'll try and start coming to back up the issue.

I'm getting perturbed because I feel my dollars that I'm "paying" towards this service are not being used, therefore I'd like a deduction. (Just like when you pay for trash service and they don't pick it up.)

I understand the complexity of the issue, especially when HOA doesn't have the power to make this happen. Something must be done between Van Metre and Open Band (or whomever is responsible).

For what it's worth, last night Van Metre did say they would give us some sort of rollout schedule that we'll be able to post on the website.

Once/if I get something, I'll post it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed....
