Cable DVR problems??

So I come home last night to find my DVR 90% full. Reason why...it decided to tape every episode of America's next Top Model. At first I thought it was a fluke however the same thing happened on my other 2 DVR's! And on top of that it's a pain to even see what you have on your DVR now since the "List" button brings up "$"'s! I have Comcast, use to be Adelphia. Anyone else have this same problem?

 

We have the same problem when you press "List", it brings up $"s. You have to press "List" again and then OK to get to the list of your shows - very frustrating! This just started happening last night. Maybe they did a software download.

 

Thanks for posting this, Up_On_One and Tech_Head. I feel better that it is just not us. I thought that we had a bad DVR!

 

And did you guys have shows recorded that you never schedule to record?

 

Yes. There are three entries that we never taped. And they are taking up a lot of space. Very strange...

 

We thought we lost all our recordings today as well - the LIST button showed a blank list. When we used the regular menu button and selected DVR they were all still available. Same day as the new higher rate statement came...

 

I think I remember reading something saying that we will be fully switched over to Comcast on March 6. Maybe they're doing something with the software to get ready for that. Also, I noticed a huge increase in the amount of VOD offerings (that's promising).

I hope we get the ability to download the Comcast/Tivo software for our Motorola DVR's. I think it's due to be rolled out very soon.
