At the end of Chickacoan Trail, a block from Truro Parish, there is a homeowner that has parked a very large camper/house trailer in their side yard close to common area. This is the second time in the last few weeks that it has been there.

    A couple of questions/issues:

    1) isn't it forbidden per HOA rules to park these in yards or even if front of houses? what an unbelievable eyesore
    2) it is close to or perhaps on common area
    3) they broke or cut down quite a few branchs from the nice, large street trees there.

Cliff or HOA folks what do you think?

    Fritz-
It is not allowed. You need to contact the HOA office to file a complaint.
With approval from the HOA, we will allow someone to park one temporarily for a few days in the drive or on the street, but never in a yard.

Funny you posted about this today. I was walking my dog along Chickacoan today and saw the same thing, totally out of place here. I had seen the Camper parked there a few weeks ago as well. Just couldn't believe neighbors hadn't already complained and had it moved.

I've seen this camper there a bunch of times as I jogged by. It definetly looks very out of place but I wouldnt give the owners too much hell. The guys seems pretty friendly (older gentleman), as he always waves and says hi, and assuming his license plate is accurate, he's a retired fire chief. Yeah, yeah, I know....it doesnt excuse him from anything, I'm just saying before you form an angry mob, just send a friendly reminder of the rules.

Agree, Brewer. I talked to him yesterday and he seems like areally nice guy. My first thought that perhaps it was a visiting family member or older parents staying in the Camper. But...

Please contact the HOA office and let them know it's there.

We know it is there and we are addressing the issue. It will be removed today and will no longer be parked in the side yard.
