in humbolt sq , around 10:45 PM last night , me and husband woke up with car alarm ( the one comes when u hit panic button on remote) . it stopped in 5 min or so. we were scared that some thing happened to our van which is parked in driveway only today(normally it is in garage). It did sound like coming right outside our window.. we could be wrong too ..we looked thru the windows and could not see anyone or anything.. I still did not out to check the van .. what is weird is I was getting a bad dream about van at the same time I woke up with this sound. No alarm is not a dream :)

Anyway did we hear about any car related thefts or issues in our community recently?

    Thanks
    Valli

PS: I am going to ask my neighbors in the morning about this

Probably a wind gust triggered your alarm.

IMO, if it was your vehicle, you should have gotten your remote and turned it off. If it woke you up, there is a good chance it would have awakened your neighbors too.

    wind triggers alarm?

Trust me if the alarm is still going on when I reached window , if it is my vehicle I would run down to turn it off with remote.

Even if it is not mine , and the alarm is still going off , I would try to wake up that home owner.

So anyway the update is Van is fine . I don't leave any valuble stuff in the van anyway. But Van itself is 30k plus isnt it :)

Very easily in a van as it has a larger and higher frame.
