So I think that the illegally parked car towing starts March 1st? Am I correct? How does this work? Is there going to be someone going around looking for these cars or does someone have to call it in? And if so, to whom do they call it in to?

I would also like to know how this works. I will be more than happy to make a phone call to the towing company to tow my neighbor's car. Every morning and evening when I take my dogs out for their walk, I have to walk out in the street to get around their car that is totally blocking the sidewalk.

The HOA has contracted with Battlefield Towing to enforce parking regulations on HOA streets. They will patrol the neighborhood, again HOA streets only, because we do not have the authority to tow cars off VDOT streets - and when they see a car in the fire lane or blocking the sidewalk they have the authority to tow it. Residents can call them at 703-378-0059 to report a violation or for information if their car has been towed.

Is anybody patrolling the non HOA Streets?

Why are we having the company that stands to gain doing the patroling?

Is anybody patrolling the non HOA Streets? That is up to the county the HOA has no control of those streets.

Why are we having the company that stands to gain doing the patroling? They can not gain anything unless the people are parking illegally to start with. Kind of obvious is a vehicle is parked in a fire lane or totally blocking a side walk.
