We're getting some new bedroom furniture delivered in about a month and figured that it was finally time to do something about the huge lump in the middle of the floor of the bedroom where the carpet desperately needs to be restretched. It's actualyl one of three rooms that needs restretching but I'm not up to moving the furniture in the other rooms and this is the only spot where it cannot be "lived with" as the others are not very noticeable.

At the same time, the upstairs bedroom we had been using as a playroom is about to become a nursery. Since it was a playroom for a few years, the carpet is in desperate need of a cleaning. I'm happy to add a couple of other rooms to the cleaning list in order to reach minimum job sizes.

Does anyone have recommendations for either/both tasks? I'd do them myself with a home machine and I do know how to stretch carpets but I'm on modified bed rest for the next couple of months...

We used Loudoun Carpet Care in Purcellville for both cleaning and restretching. We were very pleased with both services. We also had a small leak in our basement and they pulled back the carpet and repaired the padding at no charge.

Their number is 703-777-8056. I believe the guy who came out was Phil.
