Carpet One feedback?

I stopped in Carpet One in Ashburn Village yesterday. I thought the guy there - Daniel - was very helpful and knowledgable and their prices seemed reasonable compared to everywhere else I've shopped. Anyone have any experience with this store, good or bad to share? Thanks!

 

We did our backsplash with them last summer ... Very professional with very reasonable in price .... I would not hesistate to you them in the future for any other jobs....

Not sure who came out ( name is written down on the signed contract ) but the sales person whom we signed the contract came on the installation day to ensure everything was going according to plan ...

 

We had our entire house Carpeted by Carpet One in January. At the time, I really liked Daniel, and he had a good price. I was NOT pleased with the installation.

There is a place in Leesburg called Select Floors (it's next to Walmart on RTE 15). They have the best prices by far and they do flooring and granite (his quote was 25% less than carpet one). Also, delivery, service, installation, and follow up were all excellent.

I sent another friend there as well and she was very pleased too.

I know it's a bit far but consider Carpet Yard in Tysons Corner. The salesman we worked with actually lives in Ashburn so if you get him, he can swing by your place on the way to work with samples and talk about your carpeting options. We're very happy with their prices, and with the installation job they did. Honest and fair. Plus, top-notch ratings on Angie's List.

FWIW Carpet One isn't on Angie's List yet.

Just thought I'd add my comments now... we chose Carpet One to install carpet in our newly finished basement and the stairs leading down there. We love the carpet and the pad and the installation was terrific too. When the installers arrived we thought they were preparing to give us the wrong pad so we asked about it, talked to the installation manager and he assured us it was correct. Just to be sure, I buzzed down to the store to take a look and by that time just about everyone at the company had been alerted to the fact that we had a concern and everyone was doing what they could to ensure us it was correct. And it WAS correct... I confirmed that when I got to the store and looked at the sample. It was our mistake, but they were very gracious about it.

I will say that we had dealings with Daniel and Saham. Daniel is by far more knowledgeable. Saham is a nice guy, but didn't know as much.

I would definitely do business with them again, and would recommend them to anyone.

 

We were fine with the carpet installation by the local Carpet One, but the hardwood installed by the Carpet One in Alexandria was not installed correctly and we have a few seams to deal with. They're priced a little higher than other flooring retailers considering their selection is comparable to everyone else.
