Does anyone know the name of the company that will do ceramic hand and foot prints? I wanted to have my daughter's done, but for the life of me can't remember the name to look them up.

    Thank you!

$50, what a ripoff. I have a kid too, but this is just an incredible fleecing. how about some ink and paper and you could create a timeline or something... alot cheaper.

you can buy kits to do this at home and make them. We've done several of them in the past for my parents, etc... and even nicer ones like footstones, etc.

If you just want a keepsake style one.. make it out of dough :)

They were $40 each when I had them done and I think they were worth it and I don't feel "ripped off". The quality is much better than I could have done with a kit at home. They're kiln-fired after the impression is made, so they're more like a ceramic work than hardened cement.

We did a "$50 ripoff" Mudpie when my son was four months old and my sister did an at-home kit with her little girls. My mother has them hanging next to each other in her living room. It's almost sad. The Mudpie is beautiful and the home-made kit is kind of pitiful looking. On its own, the home-made would be just fine. But when you put it side by side with a professionally done Mudpie...well, you can just see the difference. Well worth the "ripoff", in my opinion.
