Does anyone have recommendations on where to get a live Christmas Tree this season? No cut down your own, but local nurseries, stands, retail establishments,...?

Are you supposed to tip the person that bags the tree and puts it on your car? I have a hard time deciding if we're supposed to. It's their job, but I feel bad if I don't. I'll tip other 'service' providers (my kids' daycare teachers, the cleaners, the dog walker, the stylist, etc), but a one time job for a tree???

interesting...i've never thought to do that. last year i gave the guy 100 bucks for a tree...i figured it was the least he could do by tying it to my car. :) especially since the "9 1/2 foot" tree he advertised shrinked quickly to 8 or so by the time i cut the stray limb off at the top.

We usually do, but that's at a cut-your-own place. If you get it at Home Depot or something and it didn't have to be shaken and bailed, then maybe it isn't a big deal. We gave the teenage boys who did ours about $3 each. One of them helped carry the tree to the bailing area and two of them tied it to the car so there was some effort made.
