Wondering if anyone knows of any agreement between Clydes and the hoa regarding bands/dj's/music. I know there is a county noise ordinance starting at 11p but they had an event there this evening and the dj was INSANELY loud until 9:30.... on a Monday. We were not happy.

The Loudoun County noise ordinance relating to music:

"Operating or using any musical instrument, radio, television, phonograph, tape
player, loudspeaker, amplifier or other similar machine or device, between 11:00
    p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
of the following day, in such a manner as to be audible at any
point beyond the property line of the premises from which such noise is emanating"

From our house we can hear the loudspeakers at the highschool, even for meets during the week or Friday night games. They hardly go past 10pm. The general rule of thumb is 11pm, so while annoying at 9:30pm Clyde's technically has until 11pm. to stop.

It was the AOL holiday party. We were there on Sat night and there were notices up all over the place stating that Clydes was closed Monday for a private event, we asked who it was for.

Agreed, it was noisy, one hell of a bass and we are in the Farms the other side of the Greenway. That's the first time since Clydes opened that we could hear music that loud, must be the lack of foliage on the trees, since they rarely do evening music outside of the summer months.

I would hope a phone call to Clyde's would have been sufficient for them to turn it down a notch...

Just the venue alone says they've drastically cut back on their parties....hardly any employees left at the Dulles campus.

Apparently it was a good quarter, can't have been cheap to take over Clydes for a night!
