    Hello,

We recently had a contractor set up to purchase and install our new front door. Got all the HOA approvals and everything. Now our contractor has gone completely silent (thank goodness we had not given him any money yet).

I don't trust home depot or lowes to do the install and we can't buy the door we want from either of them anyway. If anyone has a recommendation please send it our way. We need to get the door ordered immediately.

    Thanks!

We used Home Depot and they did a fine job.

We have used independent, HD and Lowes for various installs. HD and Lowes were easily the best for making sure the schedules and installs went as planned. They both contract out and the contractors themselves do NOT want to be taken off eithers list for possible work.

A friend of mine used Creative Windows for their door and sidewindows (the whole door and surround) and were happy with it.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll be calling tomorrow.

As I said above home depot and lowes don't sell the door we want so we couldn't use them regardless. I'll leave it at that :)

I have been trying to get people to sign up for service with Potomac Doors. They gave me a quote of $800.00 for 2 doors (no windows) and all associated hardware besides openers. I can give you more info if you want.

Creative Windows can do it for you. I give them an A++. Ask for Kenny.
