Crafty Critters (misc. Quilting, Sewing, Knitting, & Other Craft Sites)

    www.quiltersunlimited.org (Quilters Unlimited is quilting guild in Northern VA and part of national quilting guild.) Check web site for local chapter meetings.

    www.vcq.org/guild.htm (VA Quilters Guild is part of larger national Quilters Guild.) Countryside Quilters is part of this guild. Meets at Community Lutheran Church in Sterling (Next to Cascades Library) on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays monthly at 7:30-9 pm. Various educational meeting, showings, welcomes all levels of quilting, and tutoring. Phone number is (703) 304-6721. I enjoy this group and have quilted for years.

    Loudoun Knitters meets 2nd and 4th Tuesdays monthly at Rust Library from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. Phone number is (703) 771-1383. I love this group and informal meeting. Educational meetings.

    Goose Creek Ruggers (Rug hooking group) meets 2nd Thursdays of month at Rust Library. Phone number is (703) 709-6446. Rug hooking is a great way to relax--like I do that! However, I find (when I have time??) that rug hooking is great! All levels welcome!

    www.asg.org (American Sewing Guild is a national guild of all types of sewing levels. Local chapters in Northern VA.) Meets at Cascades Library from 10:15 am to 12:15 pm 2nd Wednesdays monthly. Great way to improve sewing skills. Phone number is (703) 444-1936.

    www.egausa.org (Embroiderers' Guild of America with national and local chapters.) Meets at Trinity Presbyterian Church at Dranesville Road and Park Avenue in Herndon, VA. Monthly meetings are 4th Wednesdays at 9:30 am for morning meetings and 7 pm for nightly meetings. Phone number is (703) 858-1490.

    Foothills Spinners & Weavers Guild meets at Herndon Fortnightly Library 3rd Saturdays monthly. Check contact for current times and meeting dates. Great group and interests. Phone number is (703) 435-0096 or email Sue@frogeye.com for details.

    www.atharugs.com (Association or Traditional Hooking Artists (ATHA) is a national rug hooking group.)

    www.mafafiber.org (Mid-Atlantic Fiber Association which Foothills Spinners & Weavers Guild are members of this group.) Fiber arts association with related links on site.

    www.gstreetfabrics.com (G Street Fabrics is a sewing, quilting, and other home arts dream for shopping!) G Street offers quilting, sewing, berina, kids sewing, and other home design classes. Classes are offered on all levels from Beginning to Advanced. I took a sewing sequence of classes about two years ago. Great way for mothers and daughters to sew and learn together.
