Cub Scouts

Does anyone have information about a local cub scout group for boys from Hillside? I saw a poster at the Safeway store but the website listed does not have much information and noone has returned our phone calls. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

 

My husband is the cubmaster for pack 1484 at Mill Run. The pack at Hillside is 1483 and you can call Ed Yarbrough at 703-724-1064. He is the sponsor for both packs. Join scouting night, though, is September 26th. You should be getting a flyer in your sons Friday Folder.

Having had boys in both packs, I think you would be happy with either one. Ed and the cubmasters do a fantastic job with the scouts.

 

Pack 1483 has a website, www.pack1483.com, that shows some of the activities the scouts do throughout the year, and an email hyperlink and phone number for the pack Chairman, Brian Hepp. Pack 1483 meets at Hillside generally third Mondays.

 

Hello 3 Angels:

Cub Scout Pack 1483 meets tonight 7 pm at Hillside cafeteria. It is their first fall meeting after a summer full of fun activities, so it will be pretty busy, but the leaders there can get you started with information. There will be a meeting 26 September specifically for new Scouts and families to join. Recommend you talk directly to the leaders about the specifics. With my 3 boys all in Boy Scouts now, my role with the Hillside and Mill Run/Legacy Packs is as coach and counselor.

Being an Eagle scout myself I can attest to the positive influence scouting had on my life. I have been looking to get involved with scouting again. Now that I have a son on the way, wife due January 15, 2007, I really want to get involved now. If anyone needs any assistance please let me know, as I'd love to be involved again.
