Looking for a good deck/patio builder to get a quote on a patio - anyone like to recommend theirs?

For what it's worth, our home inspector advised us not to build a deck or patio for one year. He said that the ground will likely settle and cause the deck or patio to be warped.

This is the same reason that VM waits one year to re-pave our driveways. They want to make sure that the ground settles prior to completing the final coat of asphalt.

That being said, I have seen several patios and decks in the area -- so, it may not be a big deal. However, don't listen to prospective deck or patio builders. I doubt they'll give you the full story at the risk of losing your business.

:(Don't use a guy by the name of Murphy (he invented Murphy's Law). Seriously - low price, lots of hot air, slower than molasses, lots of promises, lots of coming back - but don't!
