Declan's Journey & Candlelight Vigil

wonderful turn out. This neighborhood continues to amazes me and I feel lucky to live here with so many caring people.

 

Wish I could have been there. Lit a candle here, and said many prayers.

 

I am very sad to report that sweet Declan has passed away.

As a sign of support to our fellow Broadlands neighbor, please attach blue ribbons to your mailbox in honor of their courageous and sweet baby boy.

 

This story is so sad...it breaks my heart. Hug your kids extra tight and keep this family in your prayers!

 

Maybe people living in townhouses can put them on the rail or the lamp posts.

 

so sad to even *think* of losing one of your kids, and to actually have it happen just makes me so sad for the family ... F cancer

 

rest in peace Declan, he touched many lives.

 

So, so sad. As a mother who has been through the loss of a child, I know exactly how they are feeling right now. I'm so sorry they have to go through this. It will be a long journey, but with the help of family and friends, they will make it. Prayers for the family and for little Declan. May he fly with the angels.

In honor of Declan's 1st birthday, please join us in a worldwide balloon release on August 26th at 6:00pm (East Coast) or whatever time that is in your neck of the woods. This can be done anywhere....in your backyard, in your community, wherever you are. We will be releasing BLUE balloons and GOLD balloons (in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness) with tags attached to each. Help us to continue Declan's Journey by celebrating his life and raising awareness of Pediatric Cancer. On each tag attached to the balloon, please include declansjourney.com. This little guy touched a lot of people's lives...

 

As a mum who has also been through the loss of her children, i know that it wont feel like it, but time will take some of the pain away. I hope the family take comfort in their family and friends, and we will be thinking of them, and Declan tomorrow with the release of balloons.

Just left Wegman's and saw lots of Blue and Gold Ballons waiting to picked up! What a thoughtful idea. Our prayers go out to the family.
