Wanted Desktop CDR/DVD Drives & Sound Card

    So for real, it must be the time for all computer components to crap out :angryfire:

    Anyone have an internal CDR/RW drive? Ours reads CD's and will burn data to a CD but will not burn an audio CD (tried several different programs hoping that iTunes was my problem, but alas:censored:).

    Same with our DVD/R drive - it reads DVD's but won't write.

    AND the soundcard has gone out as well got a soundcard you don't need?

    Let me know if you have either/any of these items newer than 2 years old. Cheap would work, Free would ROCK.:cheerleader:

    You've had quite a few computer components die on you in the past few weeks. My guess is that you have deeper issues, maybe a bad power supply and/or motherboard. Swapping the components such as the CD drives and sound card might solve your issue in the short term, the underlying issue might just kill those new components as well.

    You might want to seriously consider getting a new computer instead of attempting to fix one failing component at a time. How old is this computer?

    5/6 yrs - the drives have been issues for a while, it's just not been important enough for us to replace them - and the sound card is just older but is working.
