Was looking at movie listings for the Regal just now and noticed this:

Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera (2004): in Digital Projection (PG-13, 143 min.)

Anyone know anything about them putting in a digital projection screen in there? This is the first I've heard about it and it's not listed on dlp.com's theater search. We're going to a movie this afternoon (not 'Opera', fortunately) and I'll see what I can dig up.

Yeah I saw that too. We saw Phantom down at Fairfax Corner Cinema De Lux... It was good. Better in a real theatre, but still...

    What's wrong with Phantom?

Saw it twice so far in the movies, can't wait for the DVD. I happen to be a huge phantom fan, seen the show five times and just can't get enough of it.

The theatre they used at regal was horrid. Way small, people had to cramp in both times I went. Fortunately I went early and got decent seats.

The movie is great, well done. They didn't ruin it by trying to make it something different than it is, they took the beautiful music and put great pictures with it.

    Can only recommend it. :)

Yeah it was pretty good.. nothing like seeing it in London, but still good... I never knew the girl from Day after Tomorrow was a trained opera singerw/ the metropolitan opera...
