Do your floors scratch just with the dogs walking???? Please don't think about invisible fencing for the indoors....that's so cruel.....

Underground fencing is not cruel, it barely registers on your skin.

Sorry - we're all entitled to an opinion, I just don't like that idea.....and it doesn't prevent another dog from being aggressive to your dog. I prefer regular fences and LOTS of walks for the dogs. There are so many dogs that are behind fences and are just crying to be walked....all dogs need lots of exercise...and so do people for that matter...

Why is it cruel to use invisible fencing to restrict access to certain areas of your house? The dogs run, get excited which is normal dog behavior however it wrecks havoc on the floors. They always seem to do it where there are no area rugs down and that is the area I would restrict them from. My dogs are not mistreated, they are feed, walked, groomed, sleep where ever they want and are very much a part of our family. The only thing is when they run across the floor it gouges it in certain places. I would think after a while of using an invisible fence we would be able to turn it off - just like you do when you have one outside.

Dog Whisperer is one of my favorite shows to watch...he always says...he trains people, not dogs. He also has a great book out.
