    Dear homeowners with e-fences,

Please note that these fences are only effective when your dog has an e-collar on.
This evening while walking my dog on the sidewalk, we passed by a house with a dog with an e-fence. The dog jumped to the edge of the property. We crossed the street. The smart dog, realizing it did not get the e-warning, crossed the street and circled us.
The dog had no collar at all to grab on to.

Their dog could have been struck by a car, my dog could have been aggressive toward their dog, if I were not dog friendly I could have harmed their dog as many joggers are trained to do in self defense.

Dogs are unpredictable, but one thing is certain - you have a duty to keep your dog under control and to protect your dog. At a minimum if you have an e-fence keep the collar on your pet, for their sake and ours.

    Thanks, Sunnydog
