Exterminator recommendation needed

Wow are we having a lucky streak. Our stinkin lamp post is beyond repair (tried all of the tricks- new sensor, resetting gfi, new bulbs...) and now we need an exterminator to come evacuate the bleeping bird that poked a perfect hole in our cornice and is residing in our wall. GRRR. Any recommendations? If I hear any more pecking in my baby's room, I might put my hand through the wall and grab the thing myself!

I would recommend Adcock's Trapping. I used them at my old townhouse in Reston when I had a squirrel problem and they were great. They can also make the necessary modificiations to prevent the birds from getting in again. There number is 703-352-7750.

I can tell you who not to use and that is Terminex. When I moved to the Broadlands, a company called Safeguard came in and sold there services. Quite a few of my neighbors bought in as did I. And I have to say they did a fantastic job and were very customer focused and responsive. Well, they eventually sold out to Terminex after a year and then I had a problem with field mice getting into my home after I was gone on an extended vacation this past XMAS. I called everyday for a week and never got a return phone call or response even after they "escalated" the service call to their management and emergency response team. Needless to say, I terminated them.
