Our family went to Dr. Stephen Hinkle over at Ashburn Vision Source. The office is located at 44075 Pipeline Plaza - by the IHOP, across from the Taco Bell/Food Lion/CVS.

    The phone is 703-724-9948

Not only was he able to perform an exam on my very difficult five year old, but what impressed me the most were the personal thank you notes he wrote to each of my family members, thinking us for our business and for coming to see him. I felt my exam was quite comprehensive and I've been happy with my new glasses.

Thanks for the reminder that I need to get back in about my contact lenses (we only did the glasses part of the examination because of my insurance).

I hated Dr. Allen in Ashburn Village. The office staff was rude, young, and inexperienced and disorganized. The doctor was inattentive, uncaring, and quick to blow you off. The visit took forever. My contacts were not in on time, despite them promising me several times... etc. I would NOT go there.

We've had good experience with Dr. Allen. My wife was very pleased with them.
I walked in there one day with a broken pair of glasses. Although they were busy, I was helped right away. They took my broken pair, replaced the screws and nosepieces and rebent the frame to the proper shape. Took about 10 minutes and refused any type of payment!! To me, THAT was customer service!

That was my husband's experience there a couple of years ago.

I hear that for kids with developmental delays, Dr. Cantwell is very good.

I highly recommend Dr. Allen, I would have posted this referral regardless. I know that if the rude behavior was brought to Dr. Allen's attention, it would have been corrected immediately (I have this from first hand knowledge). He does have one doctor out on maternity leave so the office is more hectic than usual right now.

I agree... they also of course try to sell you all sorts of things so they can fleece your insurance. They sent me to their leesburg office to get another eye test and charged me another copay... ugh... did not care for them at all.
