I want to thank those of you who assisted a family that I was helping almost two years ago. You might recall me posting about a woman that was suffering from Stage IV breast cancer, had a young daughter that had undergone a triple organ transplant, and a husband about to deploy in the military. The mom and daughter moved here to be closer to the physicians they both needed treatment from. They moved into an apartment with nothing b/c they didn't have the money to ship any furniture/clothing from their primary residence in another state due to medical bills they had been and were facing in the future.

I ran into her at my church today, and she came up and gave me a huge hug (I didn't recognize her b/c she has short hair now due to chemo!). She told me 'thank you' for all of the generosity shown to her family during their time of transition. She has since built a house in Western Loudoun, her husband retired from the military, her daughter is starting kindergarten this coming year, and her cancer is in remission so far. She said they have been able to give back this entire past year to others in need inspired by the enormous generosity shown to her during her time of need.

I usually never get to find out what happens to the people/families that I've helped over the years, but I actually got to hear a happy ending and wanted to pass it on to those who helped, too!

A very special thank you to Capricorn and Lilpea! You guys were instrumental in getting this family set up and comfortable. You were so generous with your time, manpower, and donations. I will never forget it, and I know the family won't either! :) Many blessings to you both.
