Did you see the farm stand on Belmont Ridge at the auction barn? He's going to be there every Saturday from 8 - 4 p.m. until some time in November. From what I have bought this weekend and last, the produce is excellent and the prices seem good. The guy running the stand says he drives up from his farm near Charlottesville and that he grows most of the stuff himself. He did mention that the melons were from NC.

I love the Ashburn farmers market, but having a farm stand "around the corner" that's open past noon is a plus for me. Saturday mornings are over scheduled. And the Brambleton market is only one Sunday a month.

I stopped by this afternoon as well. He was very pleasant and the tomatoes and green beans we had with dinner were delicious. He said he should have corn in the next week to week and a half. So nice to be able to stop and pick up fresh veggies every once in a while.
He will also be there sundays until 6 pm.

I LOVE that a farm stand is open later on Saturday's. I never seem to make the early morning ones.

To be honest, I don't know. They weren't advertising it which I would think an certified organic farmer would.

Every Sunday? That would be great! He mentioned getting rained out on Saturday, so he was going to come back the next day, but I thought it was a one time thing.
