    We were on out way out of Southern Walk and smelled smoke (not fireplace or BBQ smoke), then saw several fire trucks headed up Claiborne. Anyone know what's going on?

    A house fire on Highview Trail half way up the hill. Hope everyone is safe. Our prayers are with those affected.

    Fire appears to be out and I don't think anyone was home. It looks like the AVFRD got to it incredibly quickly and I don't think there is any damage to neighboring homes. If there is, it is minimal.

    The paid and volunteer firefighters in Loudoun are outstanding! As a kid in Leesburg they literally saved us from having our entire house burned down (car fire in the garage). Now many years later that same level of excellence still exists. They are one organization that I gladly donate to regularly.

    They are the best!! Always a smooth transition and very awesome when my son has a seizure episode...I will never be able to thank them enough!!!! :)
