Flowers in the Community

    You must mean dead headed (popping the spent bloom off it's stem) will stimulate production of more buds.

    Yes, deadheading is what you'd call it after the blooms are past their prime, but the gentleman cutting some of the flowers while they still look good similarly doesn't hurt the plant and does some good in stimulating growth of more flowers.

    Huh. I took the "foreign born" part as being an observation that it could have been the same person the original poster was mentioning.
