Free HDTV series - Fantastic Remote Control App

    The "remote kitten" app can be used with an iphone to control Windows Media Center (which has a VERY good DVR program). Here is an earlier post explaining a simple system for recording free HDTV using an antenna:

    I've been using this app for the last month. It has worked flawlessly and responds instantly.

    STEP 1

    Install this program on your Windows computer.

    It will tell you the computer's ip address, and ask you what you want the password to be.

    STEP 2

    Install the "remote kitten" app on your iphone. There is a free (with advertising) and paid version. Go to settings/remote kitten (scroll to the bottom of the screen to see remote kitten). Enter the computer's IP address, and password you just created.

    You can now control Windows Media Center recorded and live over-the-air (OTA) shows, do photo slideshows using "swipes" on the mouse pad, watch netflix, etc.
