We invite our neighbors in Broadlands to a free Parenting Workshop next Tuesday, April 1st at Cedar Lane Elementary in Ashburn from 7:45pm-9:30pm.

We'll help explain why your kids are bossy, anxious, and easily overwhelmed; sabotage friendships, demand fairness and say, “I’m bored”; like to argue, fidget, make noises or chew; have difficulty writing, sleeping and maintaining eye contact.

This is part of an ongoing series sponsored by the school PTA in which we conduct in-class observations throughout the day, meet with individual teachers to provide specific recommendations to help more intense children and then meet with parents in the evening.

This month, we'll also be discussing nutrition, medication and common myths about our kids. Please join us--it's really pretty fun! Just contact me if you have any questions.

Just a reminder. The free Workshop is tomorrow (Tuesday) night at Cedar Lane Elementary in old town Ashburn.

For those with children at Hillside, Sanders Corner, Mill Run, etc., we provide the evening Parent/Teacher Workshops for free as a community service. We provide cutting edge insight into the best learning strategies and counter many myths that make things worse!

We're off to Dallas, Austin, Atlanta and Charlotte for three weeks after the event tomorrow night, but will be available the weeks of April 21 and 28 for local events before heading out on the road again. Just email me if you have a request.
