    Just a reminder:

Now that dusk is falling earlier and earlier in the day, and the Fall Back to Eastern Standard Time will occur the day before Halloween; its a good time to ensure that the light in your front yard post lamp is working.

Its a good preventive maintenance item to install a new 60 or 75 watt bulb at least yearly around this time, so that kids heading home from school will have a well lit neighboorhood to come home to.

Besides, its a requirement of the HOA Covenants, that the lights be functional and lit between dusk and dawn.

How do we get people to replace lights if they are out and have been for weeks?

Get a new bulb and do it yourself, maybe?

If you're talking about the corner street lights, and you're sure they were lit at one time (there are some we're still getting power to), you can send an email to Wes at the HOA and let him know.

No, I'm talking about the fact you say it's a requirement that they be functional and lit. Many people on our street just never replace the bulbs and it tends to get very dark.

brim, your comments get old, grow up.

Let the HOA know the address, and they can be sent a letter to comply with the requirements.

    Hi,
Had a question about a front light which is supposed to come out during night and should go off during the day when day light comes on. What to do if the light stays on 24/7...?Even when there is a bright sun, the light does not go off...
    Folks, any ideas?

Replace the photo cell on the light. Sounds like it went bad.
