Are there any proceeds from this event coming back into the community?

Anything being done for Earthday, like a general community cleaning?

The "boardwalk" wetlands could use a good cleaning with the trash that comes out of the storm drains.

I'm glad you asked about that. The students at NVCC are going to have a booth at the Earth Day event and they are going to do a clean-up at that site this week. They are going to bring all the trash to their booth to show all the trash that gets into our storm system.

In addition, to the clean up, we are also in the process of planting over 500 riparian trees in Broadlands. We need volunteers to help. Date will be after our EarthDay@Loudoun Festival.
